Opening Up Amy’s Home to the Garden

When Amy bought her home in Beverley, she wanted a brighter, more sociable space, so she removed the wall between two rooms and installed Endurance Aluminium Heritage French doors in Jet Black with matte-black Opera Rose handles. Having already trusted Endurance Doors for her front door, she felt confident turning to its sister brand, drawn by the styling, slim frames and choice of colours and hardware. The heritage-inspired profiles suit the property’s character while adding a refined industrial edge, and the Jet Black finish contrasts strikingly with the Sage Green Windows and red brick.

“I fell in love with the result as soon as I saw it,” she says. The slim sight lines let in more natural light, and the thermally efficient design has made the room noticeably warmer. Solid, smooth and easy to operate, the doors have changed how the family uses their home, opening straight onto the garden for barbecues, entertaining, yoga, or a quiet glass of wine and a book. Amy’s verdict: “It’s perfect.”
